New Deutz 6210 C Shift

Driven one a couple of times, gear change very smooth. Same transmission as before, just robotised change, like Dyna 4/6.

The "ProfiLine" going to be phased out and C Shift replacing them. Spec same as ProfiLine, just some updates and tweaks in cab, and obviously new joystick and no gearstick!

Yeah Jim
the 6160.4 that I have bought is C Shift, a very nice gearbox or operating system, I would miss the automation of the Dyna6 with it but a great step forward and joystick is very nice and easy to use.
I was more wondering about the specs of the new 210hp 6 series, I presume it will be the same as the 6190, but I can't find any info.

Hi gone, sorry forgot it was you that had 6160.4 C Shift. Software being developed all the time for C Shift, so I understand, apparently they will eventually be able to make it go through all gears as well as all powershifts automatically?

Yep 6210 exactly same spec as 6190 (apart from engine hp obviously).(y)

had a drive in a 6160 c shift last week
as said yes a very smooth shift good spec tractor
would've needed more time to get more used to esp when the salesman didn't know the answers to most of my questions.
the main point that bugged me was the activation button on the back of the joystick could do with sticking out more to make it easier to push - could just be me tho !

Has anyone seen the specs for the new 6210 C Shift.
Looks like a good alternative to a 7620 whenever I change.
I can't find any information on it
looks an impressive machine, deutz are upping their game wit 3k warrenty and 6 yr 0% finance
they,ve a booster put on their brakes they,d blow you out through the windscreen
imo there the best buy on the market, wit proven engines gearboxes and back axles
35k euro cheaper than a 720 fendt.....!

Yeah the button is a bit recessed, but it falls to hand easily when you get use to it, I don't like the new position for the PTO switches and the having the ASM under the arm rest is just stupid, but in general a big step forward and only really little disimprovements and massive improvements.

the other thing I was told was that power wise these new ones should be better than the 620/625 etc which should stop compliants about lack of power

Complaints with lack of torque were more associated with 620 being the 2 valve engine, although it was improved with M+ software. 625 with 4 valve engine was better again, and went more like the 150s.

Heard no complaints power wise with the 6 series, quite the opposite actually! (y)

Had a demo drive with the 6210 C-Shift on a 3 axle 26 tonne trailer (no hills mind) and a 6m power harrow. Was very impressed by it's performance! Also drove the new 9340 TTV but find the C-Shift stick much leaner and easier to handle for some one like me that has small office hands. Deutz have really come a long long way changing over the plasticy bright coloured awful cab for something decent! New iMonitor 2 is a vast improvement over it's predecessor. Factory fitted with Agrosky (Topcon) RTK GPS works perfect. Integrated in the HMS so less buttons to touch! No wonder they are selling so many these days.

Also in the field with the power harrow it would shift automatically through the ranges without stalling which is impressive for a power shift. Going down it is a little clonky still. Only real downside to me was that the FR shuttle underneath the steering cannot be operated in conjunction with the button on the C-Shift lever. With CNH it goes back to neutral and you can always use both but that is just a detail.

Very impressed with the power of mine, will actually pull from low revs unlike the NH at work which just die if you can't get down the gears fast enough. Great on fuel too just wish I'd gone to Deutz sooner. The only thing with the c-shift is the price difference to the ttv is not that big so I've heard which would make me save up a bit more for the ttv.

what did you run before the deutz?
have you driven a ttv version. deutz would be pretty rare round these parts though those that have them seem to hold on to them.

Been Massey ( from 3065 up to a 7480)mainly for myself but driven all sorts for contractors. When the last Massey came in for a change I wasn't convinced the price to change was justified for a few new plastics in the cab and a new engine so tried a valtra from what I was told was a good dealer but was not to happy with the service and the tractors thirst, so while I was waiting for the valtra to be fixed I sat on a deutz at the Cheshire show and was impressed with the spec and price. It's been here almost 18 months and been very happy with it, with a change of work in the spring I wish I had a bigger model but they don't come with a crystal ball so will stick with it for now, although pulling 16 tonne Stewart silage up a steep bank she was only 4 mph slower than a JD6210R at the top, used 70 litres less in the day and pulled as many loads having only cost half as much to buy. I am 90% a deutz convert but the more I do with it the happier I get. We had a 7250ttv on demo at work and found the gearbox very smooth, with more time to get into all the settings I would probably say it was better than the dynavt, the next tractor I get will most likely be a ttv.

The c shift is advertised as retailing at just over £120k on the devil of a deal 0% over six years current offer.

The TTV isn't much more. So take off the dealer discount and it'll be in the region of £95k. That'll be standard with four electric spools, 50kph, cab and axle suspension, 4 speed pto.

How does that compare to a 210hp fendt price?

I'd be curious to know, local contractor bought a 716 last year and was saying that it was over £100k. He can be prone to expanding the truth at times though!
