No Aussie made troughs would be compliant then.... How could it back syphon anyway? Unless there was a complete failure of the town supply and you had stock drinking at the same time. Seems another absurd rule.
That’s the way it is,they even come once in a blue moon to interrogate you about your water system.

You have to just baffle them with science. :ROFLMAO:

That trough wouldn't be allowed here in the uk. It wouldn't comply with the water regulations that prohibit an inlet below the water level to prevent back syphoning and possible contamination of the public supply.

My water is 90m above me, and im assuming valved.

I am installing inch and half poly over all farm and plumbing in bore and fresh water dam so i have 3 forms of water.

Its flogging down with rain, 30mm so far, 16mm the other day, not ideal poly weather!

In colac they have a pile of free carpet at carpet place, so picked up a bit and cut for ute to try keep indoor area cleaner.

Very Long handle for me with a shovel.
I’ve been ‘chased’ by an eastern brown once after being stupid enough to throw a half brick at it. It was a direct hit but it came straight for me. I ran full on Usain Bolt, so didn’t look back at for how long it actually chased. From that moment forward, I’ll always keep a shotgun or a cat between me and it.
