New farm, the journey begins!

In a period of 8-10 hours and aged 16, I managed to condition myself to completely physiologically reject Whiskey for the rest of my life.
I will be forever grateful to my mate, who dragged me above the high tide mark at around 2am. We were camping on the beach north of Sydney one January. The next day was brutal and 40+oC. I know what a near death experience really is.
Lucky. You can definitely have too much of a good thing. I had a similar non-relationship with red wine for a good few years but I can tolerate it these days.

Vodka here. 1/2 litre in 90 mins. Trouble is I remember everything from
Buying it
Sneaking it into the night club.
drinking it with a single bottle of britvic 56 orange
Crawling home up my hill on hands and knees and wearing out a brand new pair of strides in the knees.
I won’t mention the next 2 parts
And that Sunday was a very very long day.

ahh the good old days of growing up and finding out your capacity 😂😂

The ranch is all but done. Before and after pics.

Time to start ground works for the new house site!!!

Crypto is booming, i hold majority Cardarno.
Also my shares have done well, so im hoping they will pay a chunk of new house.

All next week we will be on Portland house, its coming up like new, its 10 yrs old. House prices are nuts so holding on to everything in divorce paid off for me big time.

Why do you want a new house, your existing one looks alright?
It was nog restumped when they renovated 5 yrs ago.

In 30 years it will be fooked.

So a new house must be built when it can be afforded.

When the new house is on here and sheds and fences done, its a 2 million dolla asset with stuff all debt.

I left home at 17 with not a dolla in my pocket, and a not recognised drinking problem.

So this is my mettalica black album, whispering jack for u ozzies, the break through, the move that changed it all and the past life is well and truly gone.

Crypto, shares, money from portlamd house will pay for new one or darn close.

I am not just a farmer im an asset builder, and not to brag but we have our eye in on how to do it and what appeals to the doctor/lawyer market. Its a set of economics few people understand.

8-10 hours? I once (32 years ago) drank enough beer that when my "mates" offered me (my) full bottle of Famous Grouse and chanted "down in one" it seemed a good idea. It's only in the last couple of years that I've been able to try never mind enjoy a decent glass of malt.

I remember downing the bottle after the pub on a Friday night then nothing else until feeling rough on the Sunday morning. I was seen on the Saturday but honestly don't remember it.

Well its a sh*t job, redoing surridge drain pipe, the last people just let the grass grow and turn a blind eye to it flooding everywhere.

Now have 26m of pipe in and filled around it with 25mm agggregate.

The farm is flatter than a sh*t carters hat which doesnt help.

Back filled tonite and flatened off, job done.

Good job out of the road as if i start work soon i wont have time for this sh*t!!

Got the bore running with its new dedicated power supply. Ran for 1.5 hrs amd took a sample to be tested, looks good, they say area bore water you can drink. I pulled the pump up, about 40 to 50ft down. Was all clean.

Will put on a timer to fill gravity tanks on dam bank. Over flow will go to the dam as pressure protection.

Pretty happy i must admit as we plumbed the farm to bore before testing, still have town water back up.

@TelesnaAg what stock are you planning on getting for the new place and what sort of operation?
Breeders, Fattening?
You clearly love you ginger cat as you seem to have built it an obstacle course.

I built garfie a sky walk, he loves it.

I will buy young cattle and fatten on 12 month cycles.

I will fatten lambs over summer when conditions allow.

I will grow spring barley when conditioms and price is right.

I will grow some clover seed.

I will grow grass seed when conditions allow.
