New farm, the journey begins!

Intersting, but simultanously excruciating. Were they aware of how they came across or just totally tone deaf?
Were they just looking for anyone with assets and thought "farmer=soft touch" ??

I am far more interested in the details of the mind not the body :)
I did quiz them on what there profile read versus what appears to be actual, answers were all the same.
Your fault u live to far from city
I only want a farm for weekends
I only want a farm for weekends if near ocean.
You need to sell your farm to get me interested
If the farm is under 1 hr cbd Melbourne so u can come over at night i migjt be interested.

Definately Animal farming is a no no, even of they list they like bbqs...work that out.

I dont think they want to give up there pad, amd have to be with someone else and be accountable to a relationship.

Basically csmtt is right, they want an accessorie, and not the work, and not loose there place to go where when they flick u, they not out on the a**.

Its a brutal introduction back into "dating"

Will keep looking, as far as mixing in local town etc, covid has shagged that, theres only 3900 people, so chances are small.

The animal farming tbh is a bit if a surprise.

Ive been asked several times how do i justify this?

I asked how do they justify bbqs and camping as fav thing to do...no reply amd ignored.

This was a big thing for the chick high up in corporate finance.

Can see which way policy will go eventually with this, and i think bank Australia i seen in weekly times make a stuff up with this.

Dairy will have to go as well then unless they mandate all progeny live natural life.

Make them cheese platters difficult??

Sad but true. But. They're not all like that. Just need to weed out the Paris Hilton insta wannabes and the catfish..... That's the biggest gamble these days. Mate was cat fished by some bird. Hadnt even met face to face and she made up some story her mother passed and could he help her with funeral expenses....Despite telling him she owned a jewelry business...... figure that one out......

Next door neighbor got himself a nurse out of Melbourne. He had to buy a "halfway house" in Nagambie for them to meet at. She does come up here to stay for a week or so at a time. Don't think she will ever leave Melbourne fulltime and theres no hope of him living there... but they've been together 3 years or more....If you can call it that.

I just got here and it wasnt an easy road, so i aint leaving, and i inderstand if others feel the same way, its when they put the crap story about wanting out of the city or wanting to return, that im sus on now.

Anyway the hunt will go on amd overseas is not out of the question for me as i am a traveller, its just if they stay true to themselves or they become one of the types im trying to avoid.

Wet!!!

Managed to get around on 4 wheeler and map out drainage work required, there some drains that need a scrape, a few new ones need to go in. Nothing major.

Will also put make some hardstand near trees etc for shelter when wet.

Ant....
Holy Moly. What are you going to use to install drainage? We just sold a couple of these drainage plows to farmers in Australia and UK. Might be something to consider if you're interested!

Check out Soil-Max's webinar on water drainage here.

Its getting Portland wet here now!!

Betty is now in with the sheep, shes getting better for sure, and shes pretty happy about her promotion to the house paddocks, once youve made it into the house paddocks at Leos Park, your made...and she knows it.

I made her a bed out of hay under the trees and shes sleeping in it now.

Well i am back after a bit of a hiatus, i basically needed a break and lost intrest in farming.

It was a winter from hell, never seemed to end, but has now done the opposite and its bone dry! Hopefully get rain this friday.

The covid lockdowns relly started to affect me as i was working from home and never seeing anyone, i started having anxiety attacks out of the blue, so things needed to change, so i started to get some things sorted.

1. Dating, waste of time, but did meet some people who have been handy for casual chats since, when i left Portland, there was a vet i wanted to ask our for 4 years, was a regret when i left, anyway i sent her a meassage and we hooked up a few times, unfortunately i dont think its going anywhere but i gave it a shot.
2. I decided tomstop dating and get fit, my health while good was not brilliant, so i lost 16kg and increased fitness by a mile, and im still on it, and its been the best thing ever, i feel better, am confident, back to my cheeky self a bit i think, and chicks dead set look at you when fit and have good clothes on!
3. I went clothes shopping once fit, my wardrobe was horrid, for someone who is reasonably well off i didnt look it, and if dating or out it makes a massive difference to have something decent, i never realised but in this day and age of swiping on tinder in a blink of an eye, presentation has never been so paramount, they do not know your personality or achievements which i f**ing hate, but its do or die. So what was once only a slight focus is now front and centre.
4. Being in new location and lockdowns on, hard mission, and i was out of options, did do alot of qaud bike riding, made a thing of it each weekend even in lockdown, rolled ny 750, in shop being fixed lol!!! But im fine it was at walking pace.
5. Since e farm so wet, was a good time to have a break, now its dry im back into it, cattle yards site is finally laid, will start rounding up steel, new clipex 1100 crush is in shed. Im really looking forward to kicking this project off.
6. Sheds are built concrete to go.
7. Ive also done some work with monash University for some technology we using in the mine, spent a day at campus and will be there again soon.

Now 2022, f*ck covid and the restriction s, i been in Melbourne nearly every weekend since it open. I got vacced and fit, omricon comes along and feels like square 1 again, i aint stopping for f*ckall, this could go on for years, if you not busy living your busy dying.
1. I am doing a PDP, personal development plan, just so i can write it out and have something to work through in 2022 and not get distracted.
2. I will travel, Phillipines, USA, Mexico, and hopefully Chile, argentina or brazil.
3. Fitness wise, gain 5kg of muscle and increase leanness, xmas is hard time but im back on it.
4. Ive been looking at investment units in Melbourne to buy.
5. I just built a F1 Melbourne Facebook group today so when in Melbourne i can catch up with some like minded folk, my aim is 100 members by April, 1000 members by April 2023 race.
6. Farm wise cattle yards and shed concrete, the place looks awesome atm, have planted more trees in new house site area.
7. 2022 i want to learn day trading, i have always wanted to do this, i have made serious coin on stocks and crypto.

A girlfriend if they are worthy of the time.....

Im very positive about this year and the future, alot are living if someone pi**ed in there milk, well compare yourself to third world or have a look at what some poor folk are going through in Philippines after typhoon, alot of homes are gone.

Will post some pics of the phone i following posts.

Hope everyone is well and looking after themselves

Howdy all, I’ve been busy, still knocking the ranch into shape!! Loving living in Camperdown, still working from home for the mine 4 days a week.
as usual running behind schedule but that’s life, as long as progress is being made.
I take over from lease in November so will level 1/3 of farm and expand main drain. Hope everyone is well.
