Why did you not use a trailer for the dust .have seen alot of people do this with drying plants.just enclose the trailer so nothing can escape except air

Considered it but don't have a spare so would have involved buying something anyway. A dust house seemed to be the way every insulation we went to see had gone

You're giving me 2nd thoughts.

May try 15.5 this year. We do sell some wheat and also store some for a neighbour

We are happy to store at 16% for the stuff we feed to our chicks. Out of the drier we will go down to 15 -15.5% but as it comes out 'hot' it will dry a little more when cooled. At 15.5% you should knock the last half a percent just from cooling in store if not going through the drier in any event.

But that extra bit of gas will help you sleep at night......we had a bit of an issue when we first got our pedestals. Not a patch on the old laterals, which still cannot be beaten.

Clive,
As you know we use hook lift bins. So we have a 40 yd backed in the dust box then socks coming off the cyclones into the bin. hook up and gone. Simples. Started off life as blowing on floor and got fed loading it.

We have 4 cyclones all coming from pre cleaner, cleaner and dust extractors. They all exhaust from top of cyclones out of the building dumping the dust out the bottom of the cyclones through the roof of the dust box in the hook lift bin.

Do you get any dust out the exhaust? Are you using a top hat? We used to have it out the side of the building where it didn't matter that it had dust in the exhaust. Had to move it now and only two places it can go and neither are ideal.
