New grain trailer. What is your choice

Have had a look at a few trailers recently and came accross PK Trailers. Looks identical to an older Ktwo trailer, however cannot find out much about them but probably worth a look.

they’re a Ktwo copy, a split in the Ktwo family.

Hardly surprising, pk is the son of the k of k2.

Are the trailers any good though?

they look very good, just like the Ktwo. I’m not sure on the long term parts back up, or value. Time will tell. They would need to be considerably cheaper to make it a better deal.

For what’s it’s worth they are all about £20,000 for 16-18t, high speed, flotations, hydraulic tailgate, rollover sheets.

Well known established brands with decent paint will be worth more than less known brands down the line even though the cost the same new.

Buy the biggest you can afford

most 14 tonne trailers cannot carry 14 tonne unless brim full with dry wheat

half of the time a trailer is empty
good brakes are essential what ever size of tractor
the trailer when full should pull the tractor back load sending brakes needed with some tractors

I had a look, I can’t see any trailer manufacturers offering it. Seems to be a big multi national company thing.
I’m looking at 2 push trailers so it would make a fair difference

Agreed but who actually gets finance on a grain trailer or two??? £100k tractor yes but a grain trailer?!

Depends how much profit is on it,your paying for it somewhere same as a new tractor
no such thing as a free ride

Mate just bought 2 16t AS Marston trailers.its very well built.think they are made by someone in Cumbria. Certainly not much difference to our Stewart.

2 push trailers I’m looking at are nearly £60k.

Yes they are, made by someone in Cumbria for him.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a 10k mower or a 100k tractor finance is there if needs be. Two decent grain trailers will be atleast 40k which most people wouldn’t want to outlay at once.
