Based on my "research", the Grant will cover between 10-25%, depending on the Autosteer kit you go for.

I have no idea what is even involved, only understanding the basic principal of how it works. I would like any possible purchase to be just an installation not a project if you know what I mean.

Look at the different websites for some ideas of what is involved.

A good local fitter should be able to install a "DIY" kit for you...

I’ve one I swap between vehicles and when it was fitted I asked for it not to be wired behind trim etc so it was easy to swap vehicles

The assisted steering systems are easily installed, they come complete with fitting instructions, or we can install for you

Better to be clear here to avoid confusion (could be just me who is not sure). Assisted steering here must mean a screen and an antenna, GNSS receiver usually integrated either to the screen or the "antenna". In simple terms just a screen in the cabin and an antenna at the roof of the tractor. Installation is no problem for any farmer.

Earlier on little squeak asked about display, receiver and steering motor (+ wheel angle sensor?). That would be an auto-steer setup, not assisted steering. DIY installation still quite likely possible, mainly quite a significant price increase.

I'm just after the buyer and the seller talking about the same thing.

A.N.Other Grant scheme paid up for me on a Receiver and Tablet/Screen, but actually meant an autosteer setup I believe in hindsight.

Worth double checking with DEFRA before placing any orders...

Morning, The grant covers "Manual guidance" which includes a display & receiver. Also it covers "a Mechanical Steering system" which we call an assisted steering system. This would be a Trimble Ez-Pilot & Ez-Steer. The grant does NOT Cover "Autopilot" which is when the steering component's are already installed into Tractor. I.e guidance ready, TMR, OSI etc.

Interesting, I would call "a mechanical steering system" more than "an assisted steering system". Assisted to me means the driver takes care of steering but gets help from the screen (light-bar etc.).

Anyway, ignore my definitions, better to follow the definitions that match the local grant system.

What type of system have you got and how do you rate it quattro?
My nebour had this https://agricision.co.uk/ontrak/?v=79cba1185463 basic system not corrected with a ground station so not really what I was after but he liked it dispite the signal dropping out from time to time.

if so what sort of cost are we looking at? The machine already has a delta 34 box on it for rate control.
