New Holland 648 problem

Hi guys .Recently bought a 648 new holland. Bales 80 bales of Hay without a problem yesterday. This afternoon Went out to bale some more and am having a problem when on a small swath the some of the hay is going up the front of the baler rather than into the chamber and accumulating in front of the duck bill so when you have a full bale and it tries to wrap the Duck bill just runs into all this crap and cant push the net into the chamber.

on a dense swath it works perfect....

This makes sense. I had increased the PTO on the really heavy swaths to help it and did not think about slowing it back down a tad after. Will let you know how it goes today!

So today By being careful with pto speeds I got a fair bit done thanks guys. I did notice too when i came in and clkeaned the machine that I have lost a couple of those guide fingers so that will not of been helping. I'm done baling for now so ill service the machine and replace those all should be good next time out.

Thanks to all who replied

Try pressure washing the belts while it's running.
If you've been on some sugary grass, it's amazing how much sticks to them sometimes, and how slippery in the wrong places it makes them.
