Hello. I have a new holland 8360.temprature guage is running between 6 and 9 bars.. this is just driving with nothing on.. and same when pulling a load..Engine doesn’t seem to be boiling.. i got radiator checked. Changed thermostats.. an replaced water pump/belt...But still the same.... 11.000 on it.. head and valves done at 10.000 hours.. before I owned it.. any ideas would be great.. thanks in advance

Could it be the viscous fan not coupling up right? Some people are known to bolt them up solid to aid cooling but they do then drone like a Pratt and Whitney..

The mechanic that was doing the work says that its a direct fan and not a viscous..!

Another thing is when you give her a good driving and when stopped if you feel in through wer fan is till radiator its warm at the bottom an freezing in the middle then very slightly warm at top.. should it not be warm all over.. ??

Expantion bottle also rises to the very top when going.. but not pressuring

This might sound stupid but, i was involved with one that showed same problem, in the end brand new engine was fitted, i was driving it when problem showed up again, overheating, it was traced to a corroded or broken earth from rear of cab i think on right side, cab to axle so worth checking, why this caused temp gauge only to show overheating i have no idea, an expensive lesson...before anyone start's commenting remember, we trust what gauges are showing.

Its normal on start up.. but then when you get going it starts rising.. goes up to 7/9 bars.. up and down between that

Suspect the water pump not circulating properly or radiator has a blockage, simple thing first, ... flush Radiator especially if it isnt antifreeze colour

Buy and temporarily fit a universal temperature gauge off eBay then you’ll get a second opinion on how hot the coolant actually is before you go and spend £££on it!

Looks normal to me aswell, later TMs you notice the bars drop when the electromagnetic clutch in the viscous fan comes on. Does that display stick on for you or do you have to toggle to it?
