New Holland BR750 round baler

I have what sounds like a bearing failing on my BR750 baler, but I can't find any play in anything or pinpoint where the sound is coming from.
It seems to be on the left side in the area of the sledge pivot. I have noticed that the round red bit gets quite warm and that the other side in the bale chamber gets very hot so am wondering if this could be the problem. 20240804_200414.jpg 20240804_200441.jpg
Is this normal? I'm ashamed to say that in the 12 years I have had the baler that I have never touched this part after it has been working, so I have no idea how it should feel. Given that the 2 dimpled rollers are driven by unlubricated open gears, it seems likely that it would get hot. There doesn't seem to be anything there that could go wrong and be making so much noise.
Because of all the drive chains it is far too dangerous for me to touch any of the bearings with the machine running to check for any roughness so I can't find out that way.
Thanks for any help

Do you mean the ones that I referred to as open gears? If so, they look fine, no damage or excessive wear and in line.
There is a gear on each roller and an idler gear between, behind those plates. Could be a bearing gone on the idler gears or on one of the rollers. The rollers have bearings within the roller, if you know what I mean.

Thanks. I know what you mean. How do I find out if that is the case?

It appears to be the bearing on the top roller that is knackered, can't believe I missed it before. Getting in there doesn't look easy. My baler still has the original endless belts which are getting in the way. Even if I slacken off the belt tension I don't think I'll be able to get the roller out. If the belts had joiners I could take them out for access.

Is it the roller the belts go around or a dimpled roller? I did one a while ago, to be fair it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I used a ratchet strap to pull the sledge forward so it lined up with the holes in the side of the baler then you need a socket to undo the bolt on either side.

It's the top one with the dimples. I think I can see what you mean. If I slacken the belts and move them apart in the centre I think I can put a strap around the roller with the scraper on it and attach it to the top of the baler.
