Our CR seams to not like cutting Oats once the sun goes down or anything with green straw and soon breaks the shear bolt. Is it a common problem with them, does the dynamic feed roller help crop flow much?

We had a cr9070 that was a bugger for this, could be worse than yours as it had the small rotors but the engine remapped so wouldn't die.
We now have a 9.80 with the front dfr roller and this does take some stopping, much better crop flow
