Sure they must have been selling 50% of the New Holland’s sold in Ireland??
When a dealer gets bigger than a brand and isn’t in debt to them enough to be forced to tow the line, it becomes a problem.
There are brands, like Cat and John Deere that actively encouage super-big dealers covering huge areas, even continents in Cat’s case. However, they make sure that the motherships are very much in control of these super-dealers and that is the critical part. Control. No loose independent cannons allowed.

probably won't make a lot f difference as they will have access to parts for NH for some time and will source tractors from the UK or Europe like ex NH leasing etc with low hours. The biggest fly in the ointment will be the lack of new models, which might be worth it as he will be a thorn in the NH dealer network for sometime..................................................

Just proves how fickle a big franchise can be, nobody could ever imagine WR Shaw losing the Nh dealership, he put NH on the map selling 150 new tractors a year . Gave great service and backup. Stocked a huge amount of new tractors at all times , hired out a lot of tractors and then sold them on at a discount. It’s the biggest shock ever in these parts . But that’s life and life goes on.
