Think its pilot head you want.

We just got ours from new Holland dealer think he had to use laptop to get them to communicate.
If its a later t7 you can just get the pilot head from your dealer but will need coding. If its an early t7 with the old Bosch valves you need to buy the whole slice which is expensive. Ive just sent 3 pilot heads off to David king electronics to see if he can repair them. Whats the symptoms?

Have you tried stripping polishing and reassembling we had one pack up on a t7250 main dealer mechanic offered to do this till we pointed out we had the extracare warranty so he put a new slice on instead.

It fine one way (say retract) other way works for 1 second then stops then sometimes starts again.

I’m on my 3rd on a Puma 185, so very similar, they have all done as you described, I’ve not found anyone who will repair, dealer did service exchange on 2 of them, £500-600 if I remember right, the other was just straight out replacement, £900 odd I think. Easy to change yourself but dealer then has to plug laptop in to program to tractor.

The circuit board in the pilot head plays up, very common. Do you have any red lights flashing on the end of the pilot head where the plug goes in, they flash red lights in a sequence to show an error code.
Although it does sound like your valve itself might be sticking. As said easy to take apart clean but ensure you put them all back in the same place with the right plugs connected or you'll need a dealer to recode them if you get them muddled up

David king electronics has ensured me he can now fix them for £250. I told him the red light flashing error code while on the phone to him and straight away told me what the codes meant so guessing he knows his stuff. Ive just sent 3 off to him sl i should know by next week if its any good. Dealer wanted £900 for service exchange ones

Ive got one that has just stopped working, it was fine then just stopped ? There's not a fuse or something simple for each one ? It will get repaired shortly as tractor has to go in for some modifications anyway and is under warranty, just wondering big I've missed something simple !

I dont think there are individual fuses, try unplugging the connector on the pilot head then reconnect.
We had one that got stuck in pump by itself. A new pilot head under warrenty fixed it

Thanks, it's just showing nothing on the screen when you work the switch so I thought it might be something simple

If you've got nothing showing on the screen id say the pilot head is dead. If you look on the back of the pilot head where the plug goes on you might see some red lights flashing with ignition on

Looking at changing a tractor at the minute dealer wanting to spec electric spools I don't think I'll bother can pull a lever no bother
The newer ones are meant to be alot more reliable esp the lwb models and easier to fix. Its the pre 2012 models that were more of a problem. Cable controls are more of a special build now over electric ones so im told

Is that on the back of the spool splice ? Sorry for being ignorant !

Yes. On the older Bosch pilot heads where the plug goes into it, it will flash a series of red lights to tell you an error code. The pilot head is usually on the left of the valve slice

Just an update. Ive had the pilot heads back from david king electronics, fitted back on the tractor and they all calibrated up 1st time, so success. I was charged £250 to fix each one.

I have a slightly different hydraulic block on our 2013 Maxxum 140. I had lost number 4 a while back and now have also lost 1 and 3, therefore I am only left with one spool valve with constant flow. The rest will periodically work if you have time to play. I have been told by dealer it will be £5 1/2 k to replace three slices. I have spoke with another dealer who has given me the calibration sequence which didn't resolve the problem. I will speak with David King Electronics on Monday and see what he can do if anything. The attached is the parts diagram if anyone knows a fix I would be very grateful.
