New holland front suspension problem

Our NH service man was in today unannounced to fit a longer brake pipe under warranty/recall but being a Saturday mid morning nobody was about. Typical, I'd like to have mentioned this to him and taken him along the road to see if he thought all was normal.

My T7.200 front suspension has stopped working completely so waiting for lloyds to come sort it. Seems like new holland have an issue with there front suspension looking at how many people have replied
We had this on one of ours. Turns out the wire loom rubbed through on top of the radiator fan plastic housing. Rejoined wires and recalibrated thinking this was the problem for the rough ride all along but it didnt make any difference !

Case/New Holland's front suspension is dreadful, compared to their market competition they really need to upgrade it. I've driven MF/Valtra, Fendt, Claas and recently an R Series Deere and all are far superiour to NH/Case, especially Deere and Claas. The cab suspension on New Hollands also needs an upgrade, as again the rest of their competition have better ride comfort than them.

I noticed on a Basildon tour recently that the HD models have proper dampers on the front suspension like the 77xx MF's.

Do you know what they done? Our 7.200 came from them. Had them out several times but it doesnt really make any difference

Not sure to be honest South Africa fitter serviced tractor and just sorted it only know as had bill for the excess with the joking warranty sorry

What age are all your tractors that have problems? I agree about deere being the ultimate suspension wise but I've a late 2015 T7.210 and it does float on the road like you see when you drive a deere, even rises up when you accelerate and dips when you slow down. Don't find it as good with a weight on front though unless you've something on back to counter it.

66 plate, registered in November... Maybe we should have a tyre pressure conparison to see what people are using (for road) on various tyre sizes.

I had a t6080 and it was god awful. Had it all checked & no problems, drove a demo t7.200 last year and was exactly the same. When I used to have front press & combination drill on the back it was fine, but empty.... John Deeres tls is streets ahead, it adjusts to the load to give consistent performance if iirc, that's what I have now and can't fault it

Having similar problems just now on our cvx160. Got it calibrated on Wednesday afternoon. Following day left home fine within 10 min locked up again. Switched tractor off and on again it worked. Now it's locked again. No error codes either.

They calibrated it and checked the accumulator pressure and said there's nothing they can do about it.... I don't have the best of faith in the dealer to start with though so wouldn't trust them... can I calibrate it or is it laptop job?

You need the diagnostic plug, or a loop wire in the correct terminals, fairly straight forward from that point on. Did they tell you what pressure was in the accumulator? Seeing as they said they'd tested it, they must know what was in it. I know the spec is around 22-24 bar depending on age if machine etc, but I've found performance greatly improves if around 26 bar is put in.

All the swb ones I have driven like the t200 and 6090 have been nearly undrivable over 30k on the roads round here. Long wheel base model is like driving your armchair

I put twin accumulates on my maxxum 125 when the original gave up, made the ride much better, the 7030 is still a better ride though on the original setup. Where are the accumulators on a T7 200/210?

Was recommended for Michelin: 580/70/38 Road 22psi plough 13psi flotation 6psi 480/70/28 Road 18psi plough 13psi flotation 8-10psi

Have never dropped the fronts lower than 10psi...massive bulge, but rears looked fine at 6!

Mines 15 plate 3500 hours ... not sure what pressures I have in but the tires are on there limit when I have the slurry reelers on so can't drop them any lower.... what pressure you boys who have good ride quality got in?

Seems to be a common problem with the ride comfort on the swb new hollands. Is the smoothness of the ride just dont to the accumulator pressure or is it the suspension system/setup itself. You'd think a lower pressure in the accumulator would give a better softer ride.
Next time im driving will check the tyre pressures, they do look hard but we often have a biggish load behind them.
