New Holland Intellisteer

Make sure you get the correct steering orbital. Depending on the gearbox and build year, T7s have either load sensed steering or non-load sensed steering.

How did you get on with fitting the kit to the t7.250. Was wandering if anyone had the new holland part no for the complete kit that yellowfrog fitted? Looking to do something similar with at t7.235 and FM750

Haven't managed to get all the parts yet, but the more I think about it I'm tempted to get the New Holland kit as it sounds more plug and play and it would be tidier.

How much interest would there be for my autopilot kit?

Sent you a pm knockie (y)

my tractor is a 7.200 autocontrol. I had to change orbitol unit to one in the kit. until I find instructions iam almost sure there is variants regarding tractor number , eg 7.200. 7.235, 7.250.

Since you have the T7.200 Autocommand (T4A I imagine), that tractor has load sensed steering so you need the matching orbital to go with it.
Power command and range command tractors (T3 and T4A) are non load sensed. Then New Holland changed all the T7 T4B PC and RC tractors to load sensed steering.

Just to update this thread I ended up going down the full Intellisteer route, I got a good deal on a Nav 2 off @Knockie and a cheap intelliview 4 so it ended up a very cost effective route to go down. Just to thank @yellowfrog for the help getting the kit together too (y)

I've been playing with it for the last few days and have a few questions if anyone can help.

When I'm side on coming up to my next AB line and select it sometime it engages and tries to drive towards the hedge instead of infield. Even if I'm pointing more towards the inside of the field it still does it sometimes?

I've done work in a field and the coverage is painted, when I go back to do another job in that same field how do I delete the last coverage?

How do I set the coverage so its logging from behind the fertilizer spinner and not in the middle of the tractor?

Can anyone give me a rough run down of what the settings and calibrations do so I can start fine tuning it?

glad I could help gareth. as for the problems I don't know if I can help as my self steer is coupled up to trimble screen . just got a nh 7.210 t4b and that came with a software operating manual for intelliveiw4 part number 47424369. on the trimble to delete last coverage you start a new task.

There's nothing really in the screen that can help that. You will simply need to tweak your driving style so the tractor points further down the line before engaging.

Use Operation to change the operation you are doing and this will clear the coverage. You will see that the Operation is a preset list so if you have to do the same Operation more than once then use Operation Instance.

How do I set the coverage so its logging from behind the fertilizer spinner and not in the middle of the tractor?
There is a setting for Bar Distance in Toolbox > Implement that will allow this. You need to have Medium Tractor software V30.11 or higher on your display to see this though.

Can anyone give me a rough run down of what the settings and calibrations do so I can start fine tuning it?

It's probably easier to get the manual for this question.

Thanks, I will give all that a go next time I'm using it and see how I get on, certainly takes some getting used too! It's had all the latest software updates so it should have that option.

@yellowfrog I will chase that up today.

@GPS_Support_2014

I'm on V30.7.0.0 so not as up to date as i thought!

I tried using it with a AG372 today but I couldn't get DGPS signal to engage the steering, only GPS. Is this just down to needing an update? The light on the back of the receiver is orange and not green and it did flash up saying it recommends updating.

another book turned up today gareth. this one might be better than other. intelliveiw 4 plm intellisteer auto steering system .plm intellisteer all makes. plm row guide . all thecallibration for nav controller and stuff . part no 47428912

If you go to Toolbox > GPS which correction source do you have selected?
Select WAAS/EGNOS. This is a free signal. After you select it you should have DGPS after 5 minutes with the tractor parked outside.

Still waiting on my dealer getting back regarding the other one, but I will check this one out too (y)

It was working ok when I was using the AG262 on WAAS/EGNOS and I haven't changed any settings since swapping to the 372?

Your bang on the money, it was set to RTK and worked straight away when I changed it.

On another note If I can select it does that mean its unlocked to RTK?

Is it possible to switch the GPS off when not in use? If I'm on the trailers or something it's still recording and taking up memory plus it beeps when you loose signal and that soon gets annoying!

Just out of interest to the subject: what is it recording, coverage? There must be a simpler (even automatic) way to turn coverage mapping on and off .
