My T5 keeps telling me to change the oil but I did it 6 months ago. How do I reset the service light without asking the dealer? I would plug my OBD reader into it if I could. Cant stand how modern stuff thinks it knows better than its owner. (rant over)

NH T5 service indicator reset

Just preforming a full service, any one know how to reset the service indicator on the dash? Is there a sequence of buttons to press like many cars, or is it a dealer laptop job?

I don't think it's suggesting it knows better than you, it's just a small in cab reminder. I should think you would be able to do it through the screen, a quick call to your NH dealer should be able to talk you through it to either reset it or set the hours.

I like them on ours so I know I'm due a service coming up, it then gets serviced and hours reset. Got to keep on top of looking after this expensive machinery after all!

The good thing is you can log in and say its serviced and its quite happy then...even though you have done nothing... that will show it whos boss!

Maybe you only did it 6 months ago but you may of gone over the service hours slot?
