New Holland pickup hitch won’t release..

Can’t work out what the issue can be. The lever in cab on the T5 moves about an inch and no further. There’s no pressure on the pin that locks the hitch up you can move it with your finger.

The silver lever down below that attaches to the release cable looks to be all ok etc?

Has anyone else had similar and figured out what the issue is?

Is it like the T6's and T7's, with a linkage height limiter knob under the armrest?

I've had issues unlocking the hitch, only to realise after a minute that the limiter has been set to 95% of lift height...

If its hydraulic slide out type pull it in tighter.

If its the old type hold the "up" on the linkage rocker switch to lift "harder" while operating the hitch lever.

If you are 100% sure it's not a lift height control issue, double check using the mudguard controls as they override all lift height settings in the cab.

Then I would look at the yellow box, double check that all bolts are defo tight or take it off and assess (I've replaced a few on 200/210's over the years with failed internal linkages)

Just to update when I spoke to the tech he advised there is a product update “fix” on the new T5 models where the lift rods are slightly too long when when fully adjusted. So he’s away to get them sorted and hopefully after that should be hunky dory!!!
