That's the thing, if i was living in my tractor like you seem to do, I would pay the extra and buy the fendt. Our tractors only do 1k-1200 hours per year so not heavy users.

New Hollands are far from perfect, but they get the job done here. Are fairly reliable, great local dealer. Not the worst place to spend a day.
Definitely agree with you there?

What tech does a 516 have that can't be specced on a NH? Genuine question as there was nothing I can think of when we looked. In fact the base spec was lower on the Fendt, though it was a T7 and really we should have been comparing it with a 716/718.
The intergrated gps on the fendt is far superior and easier to use than the cnh offering. The front linkage on the fendt is also exceptional with all the functions of the rear linkage, not a bolt on affair that takes up a spool valve. I suppose it depends on the type of work also, the majority of veg growers around these parts predominantly run Fendts probably due to putting high annual hours on them and the reliabilty?

You are all spending hours of the day in these things, the premium is immaterial. Get what you want, enjoy as life is too short and labour is expensive.

The front linkage in my Maxxum (t6) is fully integrated on it's own scroll wheel with it's own spool etc. The AFS screen is pretty basic I agree.

Sounds pretty heavy to me. How do you clock up so many hours? Livestock work?

It's just constant really between cattle and arable work. Would have 3 tractors doing those hours.

1 would do 95% arable. Ploughing, drilling, mowers, square baler, mowers 1 has a loader so use it to feed cattle all winter, hauls about bales, goes on round baler.

Third one does all odd jobs, bedder in winter.

Main manitou would be getting on for 2k hours per year. It does bulk of the work. Keep it in warranty.

1k hours per year is under 20 hours per week. 4 hours per day if you work 5 days a week. Doesn't feel like we're constantly on them.

I know guys that do a lot more hours than us!
