Hello everybody.
I have a friend of mine hired in to speed up ploughing here .he has no bother with the plough or setting s of plough but it with the draft of 3 point linkage. He never pulled a plough before. We have tried all setting s but when the tractor dips down plough come s up and when hit come s to a rise in ground the plough kinda burys. We have tried using a roller dial on far right of console of cab and we now using a wee knob beside it to try and lower and raise the plough for working depth. I am only used to a mf 4270 ploughing and unable to advise him. All help greatly appreciated

Keep scrolling the draught wheel to a higher number to make it less sensitive, number 6 or 7 then use the slider to fine tune the depth.
Ive got a funny feeling that altering the draught wheel as your moving wont alter it until the linkage is raised and lowered again. So every time you move the draught wheel to a different number try pressing the lower linkage button this triggers the new setting.
I hardy ever use the draught control as i can never get it right, just set wheel to 10 then use the slider

Is it mechanical linkage? Sounds like older style tm series controls as any t series I have used controls were under armrest.

On our TMs I leave the slider at the lowest setting put draft sensitivity dial about 1/2 way round then use the thumb wheel to alter depth.

I find if I start using the slider to control depth it keeps pulling the linkage system in and out of draft control.

T6050 May well be different though although the case Puma works on the same principles except it has stupid fiddly dials instead of the much better thumbwheel set up NH have

Is the linkage lift rods in the rearmost hole on the lower links and top link in lower hole at tractor end?

Do you not set the depth on the slider then use the thumb wheel till the display on the dash reads DR ?

It's been a while since I used one but it's something like that I remember trying to use it like a JD with the slider till someone told me how to do it properly and it was a lot better

Has nobody got an operators manual for a T series?
On a MF,the thumb wheel has nothing to do with draft. It's for setting the depth. The top knob is for draft sensitivity. On the NH, isn't the first knob under the arm rest for draft sensitivity too?Maybe I'm wrong but would have thought the systems would work similarly.

I was always told to set the depth in the slide then move the thumb wheel back until the arm lights start flashing up and down, as this means it’s started to sence the load.
That's what I do when you set the depth then move your draft wheel as your moving to you see the

thats what I do to if remember that's what it said in Manual when up and down lights start flashing the most that's draft set perfect to the debth and draft comes up on dash

New Holland are different to set but once working properly are very good for ploughing

Looking to resurrect this thread as having issues setting my TSA 135 for tined levelling harrow. Following the tips here and what the manual says I can't get it to stay in work position. Every time I speed up it lifts the whole implement. Tried every setting in every position and I'm scratching my head🤔
