New Holland t7 speed signal not being picked up by Amazone amados unit.

Howdy team, I have a niggly little problem that I can't seem to figure out.

I bought a used amazone fertiliser spreader with the amados spread rate control which requires a tractor speed input to work.

I get the correct cable and plug it in and I get no 'pulses' registered.
I get the amazone dealer to check it out, they plug into a Claas tractor and it's working fine.

So I test my t7's 7 pin plug output and I am indeed getting a variable frequency output dependant on speed.
The pins are in the correct spot too and it won't work if I swap to the radar pin either.

So I'm stumped why the amados box can't pick it up. Is the signal weak or something?
Has anyone encountered a problem picking up a speed signal out of their tractors 7pin plug to an implement control unit and did they find a fix?
I can obviously get an external sensor setup on the driveshaft etc, but that seems a bit silly when I have supposedly modern tractor.

Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

I'm using theoretical speed.
I just tested Hz across pin 2 and 7, it's the same with 1 to 7 too.

I don't have an osiliscope, is there another thing I could test?

Can you have it set for radar or wheel pulses as speed input on Amazone box?

It's quite bizarre but on our Kuhn spreader on new Holland tractors you have to go into Kuhn box and change input from wheel pulses to radar then back to wheel pulses to get it to read speed.

Works fine on fastrac.

I had a similar problem with my Kuhn Quantron S2 box for my drill. In the end I had to put a set speed into it.
Without doing so, it won’t drill any seed because it thinks the tractor is not moving.
Fortunately the drill has a 20% increment seed rate adjustment on the box which I could use if I went up or down a gear.

Surprise, surprise, when I put the box back on auto, it all worked as it should. But I’ve had it happen a couple of times.

There's no differing setting in the amazone box for radar/theoretical, I know what you mean on the Kuhn setup.

Luckily you can set a virtual speed with this spreader so I was actually able to use it, but my speed vary alot when spreading!

OK a solution to this today incase it happens to someone else.
The radar pin solved the problem, my theoretical speed pin just would not work.
It's super frustrating because I tested this albeit with sh!t wiring obviously 🤦‍♂️

The radar was outputting a strong Voltage signal the gear speed was not. Super weird.

Oh well, problem solved.

On a TM155 if you have radar you MUST use the radar code in the tractors setup, NOT the tyre size code.. it will be miles out... maybe your issues are related
