New Holland TM 150 alternator??

I have a TM 150 and the PTO wont engage. I was out sowing fertiliser and it was working fine then it suddenly stopped. The battery warning light came up on the dash and the rev counter stopped working also but everything else seems fine. Would it be a faulty alternator?

Yep alternator fault.

Anyone no a rough price of a new one or is it worthwhile refurbishing the old one?

We had to buy a new 1 in November, it was £230 if I remember correctly.
I didn't think that was too bad.

Most likely the alternator but just check the earth strap

I've had the wire from alternator back to starter break off at the crimp on starter end aswell.

It's a 120 amp alternator. Yes the belt is still on. I will check the earth wire in the morning. There is a company beside us reconditions alternators I will give them a try and get a price. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies. It did turn out to be the alternator and all is going good again. It cost £122+vat
