Flexible pipe leaking on oil cooler. It’s the bottom cooler, what oil does this cool? Do I have to have a whole new pipe or is possible to repair it somehow? It’s attached to a long solid pipe. Poor design as it gets caught on the cooler above if you’re not careful and hence

has burst.

That's the main oil cooler for the back end. We braise a hydraulic fitting on the end of the steel pipe and then get a new replacement hose made up instead of changing the whole lot.

I cut the pipe at the site of the leak and inserted a few inches of copper water pipe and a jubilee clip on each end. Worked well and got me out of a hole.

Is it a steel pipe with a flexi crimped on the end? Ive had a few go like this and persuaded to get the flexi bit crimped onto the end. Be careful how you cut the crimped pipe off not to damage the steel part. Some don’t like doing it as they aren’t meant to now apparently
