Make sure its a auto command. Less gear box issues and brake problems with them. Thats what my friend said whos a mastertech at lloyds. Then a adblue delete

It’s also a much much nicer gearbox to drive. Powercommand is pretty bad, jerky, and can’t change the start off gear from 12th then an immediate range change to 13th.
6th is painful in reverse too.

The problem here is kids on apprenticeships are sent out from the dealerships to service replace parts. I know they got to learn but you don,t want them learning on your kit, !especially when your paying a small fortune for the privilege.
Still charged at £70 hr .We have had fuel filters the wrong way around .Seals missing . Things not tightened up !All done by apprentice.i hope!

Fix their f*ckup, make up your own invoice, email it to them, deduct it from the bill.

Sending an apprentice out on their own to a job they're not capable of is negligent (to put it politely). If there's no one else to do the job, make the customer wait.

The rear axle casting cracked and broke out.

Not sure if the axle casting was faulty or the bearing had failed and broken it out.

The NH dealer had serviced it a few weeks previously. The service interval for that bearing is 600 hours.

I feel it was either a faulty bearing or casting. Be interesting to hear what CNH think caused it.

Hopefully they will be very helpful in this case.

Yes. The grease nipples on top of axle.

I noticed on the tractor the dealer lent us when ours was being repaired theres now a metal pipe to make greasing it easier.

The extension pipe for a grease gun screws in perfectly. Drill a hole on the air brake cover and find a female/female adaptor and the male nipple will screw straight in. We had an axle bearing go on a 260. The advice from the dealer was to ignore the book at give it a pump, now and again. They guessed it would be the right hand one before we told them....

The new T7's have grease pipes onto the grease points already, so very easy to give a grease without having to work your way around the airbrake dryer/filter etc like you have to with the old T6's. My T6 I only greased at 600hr or whatever the service interval was and not had any issues (he says....!)
