Looking at t6 175 but I would have liked a smoother box and a better choice of speeds for field work without having to change ranges valtra offer the n 163 in a versu or the direct which seem smoother than the old electro command which is all thats on offer fro nh ! T7s are to big btw.
Opinions and advice appriciated

We run a fleet of nh's t6's and t7's the t6's in my opinion are nothing fantastic very harsh clutches, poor gear change and very rough ride on the road. The 7's are better especially if you go auto command but like you say to big for you. Had a valtra t163 direct and a t213 versu on demo and were very impressed with both, very strong engines and build quality is a lot better than they were, with some nice touches.

The only other option is the t6 160 which is a 4 pot but only 160hp at full boost which proberbly wont compare to the n163.why nh dont give other options on the t6 I cant understand!? Got a 175 on demo and has plenty of power but the terraglide suspension doesnt make a big difference to the standard plus a poorer lock!

We have t6.155 and 165, with standard front suspension and cab suspension. Find them very underpowered compared with other brands, and seem more un reliable against the t7's. What jobs you looking to be doing with it?

Lugging muck Is what I need the hp for! West 2000 spreader and some serious hills , Old 6050 plus was at its limits and was 140 hp.alos find when spreading fert I would like to go a tad quicker than 12th bit when you go to 13 it has to change ranges when turning , Range command looks to be the same so the only option in nh is a t6 160 auto or auto /power command in the t7 on 38s which isnt ideal

We have a t7.185 on a trailed sprayer but we specced it with p.command and it came r.command an spray in 12/13th but find you need 10/11th to turn and its very frustrating keep changing ranges! Also frustrating is the fact the r.c and p.c drop back to c1 or 12th at junctions My t7.270 has auto command an is very nice to drive with that box.

Exactly what I mean ! The versu on the valtra has 5 splits In each range and is v smooth through the gears and can hardly tell whrn it changes range! Admitedly I only drove it in the dealers! Is this the case?

I had a t213 versu on demo and found it pulled very well had our 4mtr simba disc and press on it. Gear change was very smooth, slight hesitation changing ranges but not as bad as the nh. I will be honest i did make it work and dragged engine rpm back to near tickover and stalling point before dropping a gear an it was still smooth. Overall i was very impressed and out of choice id have the valtra. Although i'm impressed with the autocommand box but only ever driven a 270 with it.

Valtra are coming out a bit more expensive than nh , ive had quite a few quotes now all various different models and specs but have been told valtra have better residual which I doubt! Also a 4 year warranty (manufactures) and 4 years 0% finance on a diret, cab not as spacous as nh and the passanger seat isnt a patch ( my son isnt impressed ) and no 540 eco ! Desicions !!

Not sure on residuals and to be honest a lot depends on what your trading against at the time, condition, tyre wear etc. I'll be honest my brother works for a fendt valtra dealer, and i mentioned to him the passenger seat is poor compared to the nh and was told that there is a better one available. I preferred the valtra cab much quieter, may not be the best of vision over the rear mudguards tho. Your be surprised how many options there are available on a valtra.

Think It was the better one! Been spoilt with the nh passenger seat I suppose! Always hard to change brand but I havent priced a nh auto or pc yet so still a bit to do, Think I will demo a163 direct but feel a versu may suit me better, Nervous about all the computers in a cvt also!

I'm on my 4th t7070/t7.270 and the autocommand has been really reliable only ever had to re-calibrate the box which is pretty much the same as doing rc or p.command
Just helps keep it smooth and a solenoid needed changing on one. Had a powercommand box rebuilt last year with less than 10 hrs on it!.

Do you buy the tractors or a driver? What caused the pc problem? thought nh gearboxes are bomb proof, which Is why theyve not been changed for years!

We lease hire 9 a year, they all arrive brand new. The clutch packs went on it. It would drive fine until you dropped an implement in the ground and it sat there with the packs slipping. We heard through the dealer that they had replaced a handful of boxes last year.

On my range command you only have to push 2 buttons to change range, it's not hard to do. Be different if u were in an old fiat and had to come to complete stop to change

I relise that Ive had a TS115 then a T6050 , 115 youd have to clutch 6050 has a dump button, with both there is a loss of drive which is no good on headland turns hence putting up with the slower gear!

Spec auto command and drop the 50 k just have a 40 the eco os standard on autos I think - similar price. It isn't 7 k more in the valtra ! I know of a versu and a direct at v similar money when you price in extras !
by extras I mean finance and warranty
