One of the reasons some of us don’t buy Fendt is because of the Vario! I think the price difference is negligible at that kind of spend.
its the cost of replacing a vario/autopower that would put me off either. over double an autocommand. if they were similar price to buy i would consider but when they are 30k or 40k more to buy and then double the price to repair gearbox its a non-starter for me.

And no sooner than JD announce the lightweight medium frame 6R. 185 to compete with MFs 2 year old 7719, than the red boys come out with a new flagship 7S .210 and once more up the ante! 210hp plus boost..................mind you this introduction does make the 8S. 205 look a bit redundant, I would think most 7720 users would prefer the lightweight 7S over the large 8S at 200 ponies.

Sorry but I'm really struggling to get the purpose of this...no enhancement on the previous range-topper with boost (fair enough a spike without but I'm surprised they didn't stretch the 6.6 Sisu to 240hp boosted!)

Doesnt really differ from the 7190 there. They shoulda put the 7.4 sisu in it, then it woulda been an animal

Anyone wanting to replace a 7720/2S like with like will now have to look outside MF stable.
The new 7S.210 is a fine light weight pocket rocket 200hp.
The 8S.205 is a bloated over weight, overly big 200hp tank.
No replacement for the 7720/2 in the MF, I will be looking elsewhere.

But would a 8s225 not replace a 7722

Yes £139k for a 6185 inc RTK and front PTO. Haven’t clarified what the warranty cost is or whether it’s included yet.
If you get a new quote in December there is a deal on powerguard, I can get 4000hrs/4 years for anything that runs in oil. And there is a bit of extra discount in December apparently. Only problem is that delivery date is end of august.

There's remaps and remaps though. There's many many people out there can plug a laptop in and stick a generic map on. If you want a proper map tractor needs to be on dyno
I now agree with you.

Had dealer put tractor in question on dyno and 150hp tractor boosting to 190 was putting out 230hp at the shaft. He was scared to switch boost on incase he did damage. He's coming back to turn it down.
