New ley drilled August, mainly ryegrass for strip grazing cattle next year. Most stood at around 9inch tall , graze off with sheep now and have fresh growth next year or leave it till next year..?
I have the same question, mine had one graze for 3 days and is now similar. However I will be turning out at lambing in late Feb onto it. Should I give it another short graze or keep it shut up?
Not sure of the OP's location, but up this way it would be a no brainer.
If we were to get snow or frost on that kind of grass it will take it a year to recover.
