Sowed a new ley back in September.

Sheep grazed it off tidy, moved them off and gave it 180kg/ha of n and it's tillering out nicely.

So what's best to kill young docks and thistles? Looking to get the cows grazing it in the next two weeks..

Ooooh, now I see, new photos have appeared.

I reckon you might have to use leystar there or whichever one has clopyralid in for the thistles.

Sorry Ollie I hit the post button before I'd finished writing :X3:

Thanks for your reply I was looking at envy, but no mention of docks..

Any herbicide needs at least a week of withdrawal period (always read the label) & if it stays dry I'd leave it longer as much of it will still be on the grazed leaves. Get the herbicide in stock, graze it sooner then spray the aftermath when it's warmer. I agree with Ollie - boosting the fluroxypyr with a generic like Hatchet, Minstrel or Hurler will help dock control. Do check the labels to see what's allowed or not. Leystar is the only product really made with new leys in mind.

Envy won't do much for the thstles. Leystar is better:
