All good points except the last , although irrelevant in world terms we are vital to the UK , even more so since we left the EU protection racket

If only.
Ask one of those inner city "Red Wall" MP's what they know about farmers and farming.
All they will tell you is they want cheaper food for their constituents.
On paper we are irrelevant!

So the dilemma is there’s about 15ha of different things potentially such as ab9, ab8 etc etc but if it stays dry next week I’ll be out & about drilling beans etc so do I just crack on & crop it or wait? Don’t want any bare ground?
they really do need to start getting organised!!
cheers dh

I put my first claim in 4 months ago for completed coppicing/planting and fencing and still haven’t received anything. It a bit worrying when we have started some major works, covering the silage pit and covering another yard which is a 6 figure claim, I wonder how long I’ll have to wait for that one🥵

If cash flow does become an issue, and payment is delayed, RABI or one of the other farming charities can advocate on your behalf. It's frustrating because it shouldn't be necessary but don't get into a difficult position because of money owed by the RPA.

Piece in FW about this and how far behind they are.
There is no way they will be able to cope with all the new schemes.
Apparently one of the computer systems is very old and says NO a lot!!
Mapping system is also a mess, I have had a load of marsh dykes changed to hedges!! They can stay as hedges as the payment rates could be higher.

Still not been paid for CS which was due in December!
I recon to fix our hedges would take about 20 pages of rle1 but as we don’t use them for any claims I have never bothered

Phone RPA. They will confirm your claim is on their system and may give info on when it may be paid

Got our offer last week.
I made a mistake in the original app, and they gave me about 48hrs to sort or they bin it. However its OK for them to me an offer 3 weeks after the supposed start date.

Probably will reject offer. Grain price too good at moment

I complained to my MP about my lack of CS mid tier offer.
Janet Hughes PM’d me and I supplied details.
Still nothing.

Hedge plants ordered in November for Jan/Feb delivery… (that was before the December email, saying that any capital claim costs won’t be covered until the agreement is in place)
