Looking at a new mig welder 400 volt up to 400 amp .Looked at GYS, Oxford Parweld and Rtec . Not bothered about a separate feed unit so possibly a compact would do .Not really looking at water cooled . Budget probably around £2000 .Any user recommendations thanks

Another vote for Warrior. Phil Weeks is very helpful. You can go to the factory and see them built if you want.

We have a warrior and an Oxford welder. They are both brilliant. Both made in uk with great back up and very reasonably priced. If your budget is 2 grand you will have money left for a watercooler. Once you get a watercooler you won't regret it and a watercooler will make consumables last much longer.

I would get a mainstream make from the dealer you have close by. We have a biggish Lincoln mig that is brilliant. Mainly have that because my local dealer is Arcmaster who I trust and they can look after it if there’s any issue.
