New Mowers

Hello, Im currently working with a set of Kvernland mowers, 3632ft and a 4332lr, and i will describe a few insues. First we cut a lot of leafy material, very strong grass, for those its imposible to use the tines conditioner, I dont know why but she cant get the material trough the roller. its keeps spining until she destroys the belts. the rubber roller one is fine, probably its how it works, or I need a smaller polley for the Tines one, but i dont believe, Share your thoughts if you experienced something like this.
Since machines are getting a few years, Ive been looking for the new ones, Kvernland, Krone and Claas, I curently have a trailed back mower as all my neigbours have destroyed they rear linkages using mounted mowers, Is this a normal thing? I think its too much weight on the arms, If the tractor is a medium size, i dont see a good future for the linkage, but trailed mowers are going for insane prices. leave your thoughts bellow
My Search so Far

Kvernland: front mower looks nice, same V belt driven rollers, wich i think its a downside. Read monted looks very good with the vario and nice suspension, trailed one is the same machine for a decade.
Claas: overall very well designed machines, strong. front one has impressive hydraulic suspension, but V belts for rollers too. rear monted are not bad, could have better suspensions, trailed one is good all round
Krone: Front one looks nice, Suspension could be better, rubber rollers are driven by PTO, no Belts, like that better, rear mounted ones are good too and I likes the new trailed ones. I preefer Knone cutting table and discs, looks more well built, specialy the part where the table is driven by a satelite gear so you have the first disc always free to work on.

Leave your thoughts and share your experince, what brand would you preefer and why?

Open the conditioner plate up a bit on the front mower, the smaller pulley should be on the conditioner rotor, tined conditioner should cope with more than rollers
Already even removed the Plate, Small pulley on the rotor since i bought it. but there is an optional one even smaller for harder grass

Bought a mounted claas 3200 last year, brilliant mower, follows the ground lovely, leaves a nice tow for the baler or nice even spread off the conditioner, doesn’t seem overly heavy either. Running it on a JD 6330 and it copes no bother at all with it. If you’re destroying your linkage I’d think you’d be doing something wrong tbh.

As said, taking the plate out will have made it worse.
Are the conditioner tines metal or plastic? Plastic tines will struggle in young grass when the corner wears off them.
Have you tried throwing wings on the discs?

A rear mounted mower shouldn't wreck the linkage, but some people could break an anvil. Adding weight to the left hand side of the mower is better than adding weight to the tractor if balance is going to be an issue.

Grass is probably doubling up in front of the rotor instead of being caught end on, plastic tines are utter shite
Shouldnt need throwing wings in anything other than clippings

I've found throwing wings made a difference in all crops. Two pairs of them were standard on the earlier Taarup 33 series. Was probably Kverneland price cutting that got rid of them on later models.

Its Metal tines! People here seed a lot of triticale mixed with oat and raygrass. the oat and triticale when getting dry keeps getting stuck in the roller as the blades cut it multiple times and you can see the machine not pulling it out. next i will try the throwing wings if i dont sell the machines!

Been looking for the new McHale ones! they look very good but i dont have any good saler in my area

Ive seen made it diference on Vicons as they werent cuting Sorgun with rubber rolers. mines cut it very well! fast with out worries, no matter the lenght or the mass of it

Would you consider looking at the SaMASZ mowers? We can spec the machine to your personal specification and preference! All mowers can be specc'ed with either steel conditoners or rollers (Steel or rubber) depending on what you want. Id suggest taking a look at the new SaMASZ XDF351 front mower, and for the rear, either a KDC series trailed, or XT series for mounted!

Drop me a message with your location and I can send you a phone number for the area export manager :)

Have a claas here with tines. Short leafy crops no problems. Its heavy long stem grasses that make me want to burn the machine. I have tried every trick and adjustments possible. Certain brands of tines conditioners simply cannot handle certain crops.
Had a Krone with tines before and it would swallow whatever was in front of it. Claas wants to gag up then start wrapping and smoking slip clutch.
Our next mower will have roller conditioners. If you want a tine machine that works well in a wide variety of crops and volumes get a Krone

This one last year was impossible to cut! when I mean high strong grass i really mean Strong ahha, This was a mix and the oat was almost 2 meters, but the problem was the other natural plants
had a friend cuting it with a Krone rubber rollers without a problem..
