I Find that they are very handy to keep the sheep in the fields. Why do you guys obsess with gates like a housing estate?
i meant the gateposts.I Find that they are very handy to keep the sheep in the fields.
They ought to keep the moles in check for a couple of days...Oh ! They're gateposts!
I thought they were giant Marshmallows.
These were the traditional stone built gate posts in this part of the country, and they go well with the old barn. Round the fields are 7" square concrete, same as most places. I just like the old style and traditional buildings.i meant the gateposts.
They will give you a heart attack when you are walking home from the pub, like some big ghostAnother view of the entrance to the yard, now just have to whitewash the barns.View attachment 666670
Along with a lot of other things I might get round to restoring if I live long enough. They look great. The place is a credit to you. Is the Allis baler in one of those nice sheds!

No right to roam here, thank goodness, the style was only to put a space between the pillar and the barn. Also from the office I have a straight line of sight at any unwanted guests,9/ 10. I've had to knock a point off, because you've left a place for ramblers to get though. Other than that, top job.
