New PC problem

Children got a new PC for christmas. When opening a program it starts to open it then goes back to the home page. Farming Simulator loaded Ok and Authenticated OK but will not run. Word & Excell (which was installed by the PC supplier) will not run either. Using Bullguard which was loaded and updated today. Windows Edge working OK for Internet.

sounds like some incompatibility with Win10 ???
MS programs not working? genuine copies? soz had to ask (Presume they are)
Clean Win10 install shouldnt have these issues

Genuine Copies Yes. Switched off bullguard still the same. Teamviewer and the supplier on Friday will be the answer!
Local supplier with tech guys/repairers on site.

Try right clicking the icon to start the program and select 'run as administrator'.
See if that works.

if the PC has been in a box for a while it will need updating with the latest patches etc. I suggest that you click for updates ( I don't know how this is done as I use a Mac ) Not sure if this will help

probably AV software or firewall blocking applications - try turning them off ( in settings) and see if it works

don’t forget to turn them back on though !

Bet it came from PC world Curry’s or whatever!
They come preloaded with a lot of junk Anti virus software , which causes any number of issues and serves no known purpose.
if possible reset to factory setting then reload windows from scratch, if of course you have the keys

No it came from a local pc supplier/builder who have pc techs and do repairs all in house. I have no doubt they will fix it when they reopen.

Can you uninstall this bull guard thing.

Uninstall Bullguard and just use Windows Defender for anti virus. No need to have more than this according to my wife who manages 6500 devices for a local authority.

Have you tried running the software in compatibility mode?

Supplier sorted out the issues today and it is running as should be now. Microsoft office had a instalation issue and was re installed. They fitted a larger RAM and processor to handle Farming simulator better.

If you head to the Giants modhub your kids can download and add mods (Ie new maps and vehicles or structures) to farming simulator. Simply download and put the file (should already be in .zip format) in the mydocuments/my games/farmingsimulator 2019/mods folder and it will appear in game.
