I would very much like to source a good blue/grey fordson major...my intention is to use it on vintage silage days with a single chop harvester.....Any help very much appreciated

Make sure it has a twin clutch, my father bought a good one in an auction once with out noticing this missing, not good on a baler or forager

Check the casting codes and hydraulics to make sure it is a genuine NP.

Good luck in your search. I sold my last NP Super Major, unseen for £3k. Five years ago too. Mind you, she was in good original condition, having spent the majority of her working life in the south of France, and all casting codes matched exactly.

Re the ebay Major NP, it has cast fronts - I thought they all had pressed steel?

Yes I think it is really a late orange wheel Super in disguise. The hydraulic cover and top link crank is wrong.
