I'm planning to buy a new 4 furrow reversible plough, to be pulled with a JD 6430 and have narrowed it down to a Pottinger Servo 35.

I have planned to get the Servo 35 with hydraulic front furrow width, Maize skims, pendular damped rubber wheel, scalloped rear discs and 46W bodies.

Have I misses anything and does anyone know much about the 46W bodies Please?

I've been lead to believe KV points will fit. Spaldings also have a range of spares for a Pottinger.

The thing with buying new is that I hope is will hold it's money when it's time to sell.

I have read on this site that Pottinger ploughs are very good. Is this wrong?

If residual value and total cost of ownership is important then I would go for a Kverneland.
Never hear about people aspiring to a Pottinger.
My short list would be KV, Kuhn and Lemken.

Not quite! I am wih Kongskilde and JF (the Stoll part has gone). The plough brand is of course Overum. People may get mixed up with my time at WestMac - Landmec Pottinger were part of the same group Landmachinery - which is long since closed!
