Hi ,
My 434 has been going great guns since I sorted out the seized steering on the right hand side a few months ago but when using it a couple of weeks ago I had an issue where it had been running fine , I had stopped for a cuppa and when I went back to it it wouldnt start. Turned the key , got ignition lights but nothing when I tried to turn it over ….. I assumed the battery had gone so went to get my truck to jump it and thought I would just try it once more on the key …. Fired first time and started ??
Anyway its been sitting a couple of weeks and now I cant get anything out of it again …. Again suspected the battery so took the battery out and connected my truck via jump leads directly to the battery leads on the tractor . I get ignition light , heater plugs but when I turn to start I get a click from the starter but then nothing .
Anyone any idea if I need a whole new starter motor assembly , just a new solenoid thing thats on top of the starter ( excuse the technical jargon ) or could it be something else ?
Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers
Paul
