Chemical-free protection that is environmentally friendly, skin and food safe. Hypochlorous acid is one of the most effective known biocides. This weak acid with the chemical name HClO or HOCl is the same chemical produced by the mammalian immune system to kill invasive organisms and fight infection. Hypochlorous is a gentle but powerful biocide which represents a monumental step forward in healthcare and hygiene. APPLICATIONS: Hard and soft surfaces: spray liberally (minimum 0.5ml per 100cm2) and wipe dry. Contact time required < 1 minute. Cuts, wounds and bites: spray liberally onto affected area at least twice daily and allow to dry naturally. Try to avoid licking by the animal for 1 minute. Hoof care: clean area then spray liberally (minimum 0.2 ml per cm2) and allow to dry, or immerse hoof in solution for 5 min. Equipment: wash equipment to clean then spray liberally (minimum 0.5 ml per 100 cm2) and wipe dry. Drinking water: water should be changed daily. Use 5-10 ml per litre of clean, fresh water.

Top cereal and oilseed growers honoured at the Yield Enhancement Network Awards 2021

Despite an average growing year for most crops, many growers managed to go above and beyond their predicted max yields, with Lincolnshire grower Tim Lamyman taking the top spots for his wheat yields and his world record breaking winter barley yield.

The highest cereal and oilseed yields achieved at harvest 2021 were announced at this year’s Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) Awards on Wednesday 24th November at the Croptec Show. With award presentations by Tom Bradshaw, Vice President of NFU, 24 farms took home the evening’s top awards for highest yield and highest potential yield achieved for wheat, winter and spring barley, oats, and oilseed. The 2021 winners came from all corners of the UK, as well as from as far afield as Finland and New Zealand.
