yes 1ml/33kg. You might need to still do them twice if they have scab. Need to go onto a clean area after injecting.

  2. I thought post worming supposed to be putting them onto dirty for 24hours... Just wanting best practice for new ewes.

Clean of scab, dirty for worms. Potentially impossible to achieve. Realistically worm levels in the environment should be extremely low at this time of year so if you have scab, deal properly with that.

  4. I don't (or no reason to believe so) Am selling up (barring 5 'pets') and buying in new flock. Just trying to devise a plan for bringing in so many new sheep in a short space of time, most probably from at least four different sources.

I'm sure @bovine you'll tell me to speak to my vet but I'd like your opinion too. I don't have much faith in my vet but have little choice due to location.

I would follow SCOPS and quarantine with Startect and Cydectin 1%. Why do you want to use Dectomax?

  6. Just what others have suggested. Thanks for your time @bovine

  8. Once opened is there a certain use by life for Zolvix?

I was clearly going to be scraping a bronze!!

I stand to be corrected, but Dectomax is the one to use, if any of the ewes have been Footvaxed. Cydectin a big no-no.

You are correct, which is why I asked why he wanted to use it

  14. If you were to choose between zolvix or startect, which would be better choice (combined with cydectin) for new stock?

Startect, but if using it with injected Cydectin then very little difference.

Startect is a good bit cheaper, if that makes any difference....

Being a combo drench, we might expect Startect to avoid resistance building up a bit longer than Zolvix too, if NZ experiences of combos are anything to go by.

  17. You calling me tight??

    Thought I'd been discrete!!
