Oh they would yes, but I am talking about the wider industry.Like red tractor would no all about losing credabilty with farmers
One thing I don't really understand is that they are saying "the new standards have been agreed" and that there are 46k farmer members (twisted armed) but who agreed them for us? Who is representing the 46k members? Nearly everyone on the comittee is corporate.
The other thing is their process of "Committee, Consultation, Consensus" appears to be held behind closed doors. Why do we not get to see who is deciding or representing what? Guy Smith and Blenky aren't representing farmers so who are? This really needs pressure on a group of MP's to look at this root and branch because all the while imports are coming in with no such care
Could you list those benefits for us please , thanks.Red Tractor is an assurance scheme which you apply to join. By joining there are several benefits (allegedly) you gain. It's voluntary, and is not compulsory, your choice if you join or not, it's a free World.
You are clearly not a member.

No need to read that as there are none .No I can't, I'm not a member.......
But this does: https://assurance.redtractor.org.uk/standards/benefits
In a perverse way I hope RT make it compulsory for all farmers to be ( members )
Then the sh!t will really hit the fan
That’s pretty much the case already for dairyI have a feeling once membership reaches x number, then it will be a compulsory choice
If we forced the Nfu to bat for us then there wouldn't be an RT.
What are farmers thinking about. They have so much clout if they choose to use it.
They don't seem to be doing anything much to address the AIC unlevel playingfield issue.
Do you really believe that could happen
Farmers and the NFU have little say in RT, its the retailers and processors that want all these standard and they dont really care less who the new standards annoy.
