Must have pure suffolks! ???Sheep will hop through the gaps!
Looks to be a tidy set up. I’m always thinking of going indoors with the handling system. Then the summer time comes and I forget again.
Ive been wanting a one inside for a while nowLooks to be a tidy set up. I’m always thinking of going indoors with the handling system. Then the summer time comes and I forget again.
Going for 6ml on the forcing pen as there will be more stress on the sides and 3ml on the rest of itLooks good, what thickness of stok board will you be using ? And anything special being used for the floor ?
I looked at IAE but couldn't get a system that fitted in the shed as i wanted, i have seen loads of different designs whilst out dipping over the years and came to the conclusion that the simplest works best i find.I've got a Ritchie system outdoors and another guillotine, shedder and a few hurdles I can set up in the shed in a couple of minutes for winter work. Nothing fancy but gets them all through and I'm not soaked and freezing. I actually prefer working with my basic system, I find the Ritchie race too high and really hurts my back leaning over to catch a ewes head to dose when she has her nose to the ground. Also the dog can fill the race easy in the shed but hasn't worked out how to fill the Ritchie one with that half moon forcing pen thing!
Not to sure yet was going to stone it first see how that worked and if i did have any issues then concrete itGoing for 6ml on the forcing pen as there will be more stress on the sides and 3ml on the rest of it
Ill see if i can get one for you. It was designed with sheep marker paint drawn on the floor??Do you have an birds-eye plan of your design? Looks good

Very true it might have to wait until i get a few lambs sold ha haI’d definitely concrete it if I were you. Then you could use sawdust and ever would be spotless all the time. Nothing worse than working in slop.
Here you are not exactly to scale but should give you an idea of the layout.Do you have an birds-eye plan of your design? Looks good
Post we socked in old oil for a while so should be ok for a long time fingers crossedOught not you to be using galvanised posts if there is a chance that you will be concreting it in?
I had seen a race system in France with this type of thing and thought it was a good idea saves alot of time. There is a gate that can be closed so you can shut one race off if needed or fill both up at once.Really like the idea of the two races with the weighing and turnover crate separate from the shedder. I have to make extra pens, shed everything and then drag the crates into place.
Might steal that design !
