Looks to be a tidy set up. I’m always thinking of going indoors with the handling system. Then the summer time comes and I forget again.

I've got a Ritchie system outdoors and another guillotine, shedder and a few hurdles I can set up in the shed in a couple of minutes for winter work. Nothing fancy but gets them all through and I'm not soaked and freezing. I actually prefer working with my basic system, I find the Ritchie race too high and really hurts my back leaning over to catch a ewes head to dose when she has her nose to the ground. Also the dog can fill the race easy in the shed but hasn't worked out how to fill the Ritchie one with that half moon forcing pen thing!

I looked at IAE but couldn't get a system that fitted in the shed as i wanted, i have seen loads of different designs whilst out dipping over the years and came to the conclusion that the simplest works best i find.

So decided to build my own and compared to a manufactured system the cost for mine is alot cheaper.

Do you have an birds-eye plan of your design? Looks good
Here you are not exactly to scale but should give you an idea of the layout.

I have 10ft gates all down the left side that make up 4 smaller pens to hold sheep and around into the forcing pen, then turn over crate and weigher in the left race, and 3 way shedding gates in the right race and a loading dock area to the right. Along with 2 more holding pens. I couldent get the curve in the forcing pen exact but like i said will give you an idea.
Hope that makes sence

Really like the idea of the two races with the weighing and turnover crate separate from the shedder. I have to make extra pens, shed everything and then drag the crates into place.

Might steal that design !
I had seen a race system in France with this type of thing and thought it was a good idea saves alot of time. There is a gate that can be closed so you can shut one race off if needed or fill both up at once.
I'll post some more pics once its finished.
