You guys going to get some payments for keeping soil healthy threw the winter.
Seems unclear if it’s just 20 or 40 or them added together. If it’s just 40 for intermediate it won’t cover some cover crops costs20 up to 60£ a hectare, that alright.
Only 20% of land entered need a cover crop planted. That's on top of the 70% in green cover (incudes autumn cereals) I think!Seems unclear if it’s just 20 or 40 or them added together. If it’s just 40 for intermediate it won’t cover some cover crops costs

Never mind doing all the organic matter soil testing£8/AC I'll not even fill in the form.
I wouldn’t fill it in for £20/acre to be honest because that’s what it’ll cost. It’s got to be profitable£8/AC I'll not even fill in the form.
This is why countrywide stewardship agreement numbers are on the up because nobody wants to go into ELMS. At least if they get into stewardship they have 5 years of something realistic. It's also got to cover the "RPA f**kabout" factor.
Will it need lime?
HmmmmmOf course. All that soil testing and we all know soils can't be healthy without lime.
There is also a supplementary payment for applying a lot of basic slag, of which I am told there is no shortage of around places like Wrexham.
