It's ready to use. When you dilute agri stuff to use what is it then
1-6 litre/kg per ha depending what you use diluting into 100-250litre per hectare depending on crop/target species etc etc etc.

For a very basic stubble kill with easy to kill weeds you’d put the “garden centre” stuff in neat but even then your only working on a weak dilution unless you go high volume

You can get it on eBay though.

I know you can but you shouldn’t be able to, where’s the paper trail, is it genuine or is it a complete fake? it wasn’t that long ago you could buy Uranium on amazon

Grandfather rights were phased out several years ago.

Strange thread. How do you know he hasn't done his PA1 & PA2, and is it any concern of yours?

What would happen if the guy caused spray damage on your land and he wasn’t licensed?

Remember when I was accused of damaging 40ac of blackcurrents once ..... turned out to be frost damage but there were a few sleepless nights

Shouldn’t you? Up here there are plenty who will buy to keep gardens and driveways clear, but aren’t farmers. Is it actually against the law, or just not allowed for farm assurance?

As for uranium, you can dig it out of the ground - no need to buy at all.

Then the sprayer would be liable, whether he had the required pieces of paper or not.

Do you make a point of popping round to check on your neighbours qualifications & certificates?

I dare say a lot of us may know a few that we might suspect are doing all sorts, but we wouldn’t start a thread about it on a public forum.

But with the required piece of paper the insurance might step up, but without not a chance

Puzzled with your comment....
Why did you not simply do a proper PA 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 course instead of a pretty poor, IMO, substitute
?

Because I am only spot spraying on my own ground with a hand lance spray unit on an ATV, not even a boom. Just patches of brambles or ferns. Anything more and I get a contractor in, e.g. spraying fields of dashels ( creeping thistle), one tank load does 12acres.

Legally you require pa1 and pa6 then

I can still remember 2,4,5T being sold as Brushwood killer, years after Vietnam had been defoliated with it (Agent Orange) and it had been banned for farm usage.

Because it was not the 2,4-D or 2,4,6T that was the problem with Agent Orange, it was the impurities in it, Dioxans, that caused the problems. The Americans could not be bothered to purify it to a high standard just to dump it on some jungle containing Vietcong.

I wondered a few years ago why a sprayer appeared in our empty suckler cow shed one summer evening. No one knew owt about it. 3 days later a friend from a couple of miles away appeared on his tractor too collect his sprayer... apparently he had an inspection at 9am and remembered at 11.30pm that his sprayer “didn’t exist” and he knew our shed away from home was empty! Got a 4 pack of black sheep out of it so I was happy enough!! 😉

Iirc purple was the worst of the Rainbow Herbicides but Orange was used the most, 76,000 tonne of it

74m litres of Tactical Herbicides (Rainbow Family) were used in Vietnam 😮
