New stiga deck.

Our old stiga has gone through 2 decks both been patched up till their isn't much good metal to weld to. So while it's been raining I decided to have a go at making one.this is the current one and the original

first one i bought was painted steel that rotted over time next ones bought were Galv. steel and ok up to now, and we don't clean them that often.

Just googled it does splashing a bit of water round do much. And does it shorten the life of the bottom bearings
It keeps the grass from sticking to the underside of the deck if done every time you use it. It actually saves bearings a it keeps the wet grass from sticking in them and then not being removed if that makes sense

Dealer explained to me that storing a mover with a wet deck was going to rot
Dont think u can win either way . The metal on my kubota is thick enough i think, gets a wash and then paint the bits that hold shite once a year ish .
