New threats from germany

Well I'm gonna have some beers and chill.

Which I suggest everyone does, it's the weekend and lots more havoc to play with each other for a few weeks more yet.

Here is why the germans get up early and succeed generally;

"The german peasants are not as with us for the most part totally cut off from the property in the soil they cultivate - they are themselves the owners.
It is perhaps from this cause that they are the most industrious peasants in the world. They labour early and late, because they are labouring from themselves.
The german peasant works hard but has no actual want, every man has his house, his orchard etc.
In contrast, the english peasant is so cut off from the idea of property....................... by the laws of the large proprieters and becomes in consequence spiritless and purposeless"

Perhaps I'm wrong but the Jews didn't get too good a deal did they ?

no no...don't get me wrong....my german great grandfather came to the uk in the late 20's,,,,i suspect there were jewish...but it was never talked about....i'm merely suggesting that some countries genocide is conveniently forgotten by our politicians on occasions.... IIRC turkey, for example, still denies it's armenian massacre

But what's the point of continually looking backwards. I mean how far do you want to go, maybe the crusades, when us Brits went around killing everyone, or the countries we invaded to build the good old British empire.
If we want peace in the future, then we need to get on with each other and be inclusive, not wish we'd bombed them into submission.

And for those reminiscing about "bombing them into oblivion", we should remember that the thing that every person fighting in the wars would have been wishing for above everything else would have been peace.

Those who died in the wars would be turning in their graves at the thought that someone today was thinking "another 'good' war would sort things out".

What?
Your posts make zero sense.
Clearly countries that are teetering on the brink such as Italy, Spain, Portugal etc cannot afford to pay, so the Germans, French, U.K. And all other Nations with money will have to foot the bill. Do you honestly think the Germans would rather pay more?
It's also a fact that we pay more to Europe than we receive back (in direct money, not trade) so that money must go somewhere as it doesn't come back here.
By the way I am an in voter, I just hate all this political posturing.

Don't waste this chance to steer the EU onto a new path.
The rest of the EU counties are relying on us to show the way ahead.

Everyone should also remember everyone who died to keep our country free

But we are free to leave Europe anytime we like? Are Germany going to send their army in and invade if we vote to leave?

Therefore your comparison is irrelevant.

They have tried before and they will again if it suits them!!

They have wanted to rule the UK for a long time, the EU is letting them do that not by war but stealth!!

After all is was Merkel the other day who said SHE would decide if Turkey can join the EU or not! no mention of the wishes of the other 26 odd country's in the EU..

Reading some of these threads I really do sit here and wonder wtf Europe has done to some of the posters to make them so angry.

seemingly tried to undemocratically take control of our country

people (lots of them) gave their lives to avoid this in the past

all this bulls**t scaremongering about how no one will want to do business with the worlds 5th largest economy or WW3 / IRA trouble etc will all restart is just ridiculous and I can hardly believe politicians except us to take them seriously when spouting such rubbish !
