New toy day

Probably wont be pulled by the 6499 very often more likely to be pulled by 120-140 hp. We would have plenty of fields thats steep or wet spots with drains and tryin to spread in wetter times so itl be plenty big for them reasons. Went for it over a rear discharge as will be spreadin mainly dung from a layer house which can be sloppy and the auger with beaters is best for this type of dung
Let us know how she wears, just spent a day in mine welding up the auger, it has just come back from the local blacksmith as chain was jumping off, 3 days later new chain and main gear. Rebuilt door runners in summer. If I had known it was going to be so much i would not have started!

I have the same one and agree the pins are like spaghetti, and beware if the side sheets are pop riveted on- they will pop out with the weight of ewes pressing against them. I’ve just used tek screws now. Surprised really they haven’t welded an extra box section across half way down where the most stress will be. But otherwise it’s a good system and I’m sure you’ll be pleased with it!

We have splashed out on a new dump trailer this year.

When the clutch goes on that it will be a cheaper home made fix and I bet it stays on the farm longer and won't drop in value
Probably wont loose much value. Was originally lookin second hand and was asked half of new price for a old 1 that was all pitted and a problem with 1 of the winches so just ordered a new 1 at that point
