Not as grand as most things on here but a brilliant little bit of kit which makes dropping bales off on a slopes a bit more safer.

Seen a lot of nice new, fancy-looking spreaders on this thread, so here's mine that came on Friday. Kubota VS1354. It's a Vicon 1354 wagtail painted orange and says Kubota on it. Quite a bit cheaper, too.

How much was it if you don't mind me asking? Looking for something similar ourselves, currently pricing up a flemming.

I bought the same spreader , but in Vicon colours , in 2019. Most stock farmers here in Ireland aren't reg for VAT , so price includes vat @ 23% . Cost me €3800. Very happy with it .
My father bought its Vicon predecessor new in 1979 , for €320. Got our value from that.

Shaun said you were playing with it, our 10.11 is 3 year old now and been no issue. Ours is on the link arms though, is it any better on the hitch?
The only downside to being on the hitch is your turning radius is limited by the drawbar. I think on the positive side you get less sideways sway on the hitch.
Like the simplicity of the fold and also the border management.
Pottinger is good kit very happy with my mowers and rakes.

All well and good, climbing down the rope,
BUT
Many years ago local lad did that,
Only the rope snagged or came off hook,
He hit the Drawbar, and it was the last thing he ever did. !!!!!!
Fair enough but when I did it I was well away from the trailer drawbar on the side of the trailer but would have still hit the ground!

Picked up our new M4 Trailers 22' bale trailer yesterday. We've got a full size rear ladder with it, too. The bale bar is adjustable.

Very well made, absolutely solid, plenty of metal, welding and lots of attention to detail, i.e. glav chequer plate back plate protecting the backside of the rear lights and guarding the side markers. All LED lights with beacon, plenty of reflective tape and markers, even a quick spring number plate holder. Loads of strap lugs and hooks, 400 wide tyres, galv skid and pipe holder.

Pretty good deal had on it to, thanks to Hopkins Machinery.

How's the suspension and the ride quality on those? I drove an mgx? I think, a few years ago with axle suspension and found it rubbish, just wondered if they improved as I like the look of the m7
Hi, I work with texelburger. We love the tractors on the road, air cab suspension and the front axle suspension work really well. Much better than our previous brand. We farm 3 units, the furthest from home is 10 miles so they get a few miles towing the 12 & 14 ton trailers. They are the first CVT tractor I have driven, but really like it. The Kubota engineers have made a control system that anybody can jump on and drive, but with experience you can set it up to do everything well.(it took us more than a year to really get the best settings) Some people have knocked them on here because they are not the same to operate as a Fendt, but if you take the time to learn Kubotas way of doing it, I think it good. All that orange takes a bit of getting used to,. In the spring we will have one on narrow wheels, I fancy painting them dark grey.

Front suspension seems to work fine. The cab too.Completely different beast to a mgx, they are chalk and cheese. We're pleased with them.

Actually, I’ve got loads of racket straps and i did use 4 on this. But I needed to tie the markers up to stop them waving around and I just got carried away with doing it the old way, instead of using any more straps.

Sometimes ropes are much simpler and faster to put on and remove.
I’ll always use ropes to tie a load of straw or hay on a trailer. It’s so much quicker to take off without having to roll up the straps. And it is far easier to throw a rope over a load than an unrolling strap.

The trouble is that not many people know how to do a half hitch knot these days. Sometimes I use two of them to get a 4-1 pull on the rope.
trouble is vosa don't like ropes I love to secure certain loads with rope as its the best but those collage boys who enforce the rules as they see them say no
