New quad fetched today. changed a bit earlier than planned to take advantage of the 5 yr warranty if done before the end of this month.

CanAm 650 Pro instead of a 570 Pro, and it’s a completely different beast. Updated suspension geometry means towing capacity even better and very much more stable in turns. Oh, and another 11hp, not that it needed it.

Had a tracker fitted on this one too, as too many are getting pinched now.😡

Was you pleased with the residual value of your trade in? 5 yr warranty is quite something. Is there any catch with it?

I was told £350, inc first year’s subscription, then £70-100/yr, depending on how long a sub you pay up front.

Happy enough, as anyone ever can be. Trade-in was just under 2 yr old though, but had a few niggling things I was never happy with. This model is back to the old plastic covered racks, which I’ve always found better for clamping RAPPA frame or slug Pelleter to. It doesn’t have an annoying lag when you blip the throttle either, which the old did.

New suspension set up steps comfort & stability up a notch, on what was already a good platform.

Only downside I can see is that it ties you into dealer servicing, but I do that anyway. It’s the one machine that needs to work here, every day.

If the bike turns over (and doesn’t get righted presumably) the system sends a text to another number. Not sure whether they might get a phone call from the call centre too.

You get both if it strays out of prescribed hours too.

5 year warranty is just a current promotion, until the end of July. Dealer has a busy week on too! I wouldn’t have changed yet for any other reason.

Might be a silly question does it have a park brake? Or is it like my Kodiak where you only have a transmission brake. Always missed that on a bike.

CanAm’s have a notched brake lever with a key that you can push forward to lock the brake on, which I use all the time when I need to stop it rolling downhill. Unfortunately the teeth on that lever are made of cheese, but not a big job to change the lever.

Both
I’m told that you can nearly halve fuel consumption by putting it into work mode. I did ask whether anybody ever actually did that.😂
its wild on petrol if you go for it in sport mode mind , I have a farm eight miles away it will sit at 70mph comfortably but petrol.. worth every penny ha ha

Came on demo and just could not resist. 16.5m...covers the ground.😊View attachment 896294

wow you got a demo!! how did you swing that I asked to try a bigger rake this time and the first thing the dealer did was gripe about the £300 he would have to contribute, then he started whining about me wanting to part x another machine in against it “as times are tough” so it looks like after 2 rakes, 2 tedders, and 4 mowers I’ll be voting with my feet in the future. Spoke to my krone rep and it’s business as usual, had the demo, quoted a keen price and dealt with the part x in a professional manner. If only I had a quid for every time he told me they don’t make anything out of new machines.......
