A couple more photos of the new machine in action!
What will happen now, can you get away with just drilling or will it need working down before?

No difference to a trailer full of spuds or grain or anything else is it?Is that legal 'cause if it rolls over they will fall out'
Where in the world are you that you ground is dry enough to sub soil?First chance to post on this thread and what a new toy!
New custom built 2.5m 5 leg omnitil with a DD packer from plowman. Having a go with it this evening and it seems to be performing great. Got to say plowman's have to be one of the best companies we've ever dealt with and have a product to match!

So if i put all that fert in a grain trailer then it would be legal? Yet id stand more chance of the grain trailer being put on its side than the low loader. . .Not legal at all, the side straps would be only classed as "fall restraint"
They would need strapped over the top to stop rolling as stated.
Spuds/silage/grain is different because of the type of trailer
Legal or not, very nice set-up and those side straps make the job safer and quicker. So if i put all that fert in a grain trailer then it would be legal? Yet id stand more chance of the grain trailer being put on its side than the low loader. . .

they were making you strap ferts in a curtain sider, don’t know if that’s still the caseSo if i put all that fert in a grain trailer then it would be legal? Yet id stand more chance of the grain trailer being put on its side than the low loader. . .
Last 2 loads of fert/granular lime were strapped in curtain siders upon arrivalthey were making you strap ferts in a curtain sider, don’t know if that’s still the case
Going to be worked first before drilling. One pass with a power harrow then into it with a vaderstad rapid. Ideally we're hoping to rip them up and leave over winter for spring crops to drill straight into. Sadly quite a lot of our land is very heavy clay and needs lifting to get water through and then working to create a seed bed. What will happen now, can you get away with just drilling or will it need working down before?
Gone surprisingly well to say its still quite damp underneath. I was worried being heavy clay it would just smear through and cut a slot but it was fissuring as it went through the legs. Based on the foot of the yorkshire wolds so we're normally quite late to start drilling after the ground has dried!Where in the world are you that you ground is dry enough to sub soil?
I was always taught that the ground should be dry enough to fracture and crack before sub soiling.
