We've just bought a 2017 Q7 3.0 diesel S-Line Quattro instead of a D3 LR. Worlds apart, stunning car and returns between 35 and 40mpg on local runs, seriously impressed by it. Don't think I'll be looking at LR again after having a disco for the past 22 yrs.
We've still got low mileage D4 for pulling the stock box , the difference is vast - you'll be up nearer 50mpg on a long run in the Audi

I'm not sure what the difference is between the Q7 & the D5, the Audi seems to come out better overall in a lot of comparison video's, the Audi does feel more car like I suppose is the only downside but I'm not complaining!

Difference would be if you tried to go up a muddy hill, the q7 wouldn't get in the gate. The D5 would be at the top in no time.

The D5 would have amazing off road ability compared to q7. Sure most D5s never leave tarmac though.

That sums it up, one is an off road vehicle ( if you disregard the price) one isnt. So its no surprise that the audi is possibly better on road.

Totally agree, the Q7 is more of a car, all ours will do is tow a caravan every now and again and waft us all in comfort from A to B, still got another D3 for anything remotely off-road.
I really wanted a D5 but couldn't justify the near 10k price difference for a comparable 2017 one compared to what we payed for the Q7, and also the horror stories I keep seeing on D5 owners groups on FB and the like for the earlier ones, it really put me off, having already had my share of problems with the D3 I swapped.
When we come to change this I'll have another look at the D5 or possibly a Defender, in the meantime we'll see how we get on with the Audi for now.

Just sold a 2017 D5 and I bet could have done you a better deal direct than the price I got😂 but we had no bother at all in 45000 miles, wife just wanted something a lot easier to park in town.

2nd tractor turned up bit later than anticipated, no fault of the dealer but a third party gps company. 6155M replacing a 145 maxxum. Seems a nice spec since everyone said we were crazy getting an M.
How is the power on Deere? We've Maxxum 135 that is due to a swap.
