New Tractor and Loader

Hi Folks,

We are currently looking to purchase a new tractor and loader around 100/110hp. We are looking for a nice compact tractor for around the yard and going in and out of sheds cleaning them out, it will also be used for the odd few jobs out the land. We have a loader on the farm as well so the tractor won't be needed for heavy lifting. We have looked at a good few makes, but have it kinda narrowed down to John Deere 5100r, Case farmall 115, Valtra A114 or Massey Ferguson 5711s. Has any one experience with any of these or have suggestions? Thanks Farmer lad

If you can get farmall u not u-pro you are in business. It's smaller brother of maxuum and has maxuum transmission.nice cab. Also has improved things in terms of accessibility to serviceable components which were a pain in earlier farmall c models.

We had a farmall, it got renamed the f&@kall as it was f&@k all use, so I would steer clear of those if I were you, got a Massey now but personally I still don’t like it, my preference would be the JD

What about case maxuum 125? Perfect loader tractor
Not exactly compact tho is it,i have a new 115 which is verey good but I wouldn't want it as a loader tractor round the yard.No such thing as a true stockmans yard tractor any more, the ones you would want ie JD5R,Case Farmall,NH T5,MF 5700 are all very high tech, and if you go down another range they can be too basic.Case Farmall C or NH T4 would be my choice.

You could go for the T5 utility, T4 only goes to 75hp, the T5 utility is what the old T4.105 etc are

Had a NH T5.105 for a while, lots of little problems and not great to drive. Have a MF 5612 now and really like it. Took a bit of getting used to but great to run once you get onto it. Was pretty much flawless for the first 3000 hours, but then had water pump fail, couple leaking seals, and a bad wire in harness. Other than that it's been good so far with 3500 mostly hard hours on it.
