avoid valtra, we had a 2012 n121 and it was crap. My reccomendation is case, we have a maxxum 125 and its a good tractor, though make sure you get the electric joystick as the cable stoll joystick is a heap of shite.

I was going to suggest this as a low houred alternative to a new tractor that met most of your criteria.

im looking for something similar or slightly smaller to the OP (replacing a t6010), but apart from a basic t5 (dont want as i dont like the italian built models for a few reasons) there doesnt really seem to be anything suitable. a t5 dynamic command would be nice but they are higher spec and more money, JD 6090m is even more money, never thought id say it but starting to look like a fendt 311 might be one of my best options, as if im gonna go high spec i might as well go CVT, and the fendt seems not bad value compared to other small cvts, other option im looking at is a poverty spec T6.160, as if im gonna put up with the bigger frame i might as well have the 6 cyl engine as its still the same overall size, it seems a lot of tractor for the money compared to the smaller tractors. anyone got any bright ideas for me?

How about a kubota m6 series would fit the bill and stil be reasonable money or a massey 5s is a nice compact machine with up to around 130hp available

I know exactly what you mean,I thought initially the T5 dynamic command was the same back end as a T6 but it’s not it’s still lightweight but big money,shame they don’t give the option of short wheelbase T6 anymore

Kubota is a good thought actually, will have to get a look at one. Does the 5s have the same chinesium engine as the g series valtra or is it different?

No idea on the engine but not heard any bad press about that so its a good sign

Think I need to do some more digging on that, seems the fendt Massey and valtra all have "4.4 sisu engine", I would assume it's not just the valtras that is Chinese made? Anyone know?

Kubota M6, Newholland T6.160 or Valtra N135 are your best options. All have downsides and all more money than you want to spend. Kubota would be the cheapest, Valtra probably best spec for the money.
As has been said T5 back end is still tiny and G5 is from Chiiinaaa

Kubota turns like a 2wd tractor. Very nimble

If ur gonna look at it that way the only 3 things you need to consider are wheelbase, width and steering angle. First one you can't alter but tyre sizes can alter the latter very dramatically. It's surprising how many tractors out there look very different size wise but when measured are not.

I bought a G125 Valtra, I'm thoroughly enjoying it and to be honest I can't fault it so far. It's a good bit better on fuel than the N103 it replaced. I hear what some folk are saying about China but its very difficult to not buy Chinese these days.

Even the most anti-chinese buying will have thousands of items/components around them - either in their phone/PC/tablet/cars/homes etc. I would have rathered have a Finnish engine but that wasn't on the list!

When it came down to it I got a much better specd tractor for significantly less than the others I priced and I'm very pleased with it!
